A while back I saw a tweet from Robert Paz (aka Prod1gy) asking for someone to make an intro for a live stream he was organizing. I rose to the challenge and created the intro for an online tournament.
Then about a month ago he hit me up with this idea to create a youtube web series which would allow the world to see what a pro gamer gets up to. The first episode would be about his trip to E3. Well, E3 has been and gone and just over 1 week after the event and all my spare time and hard work it is finally finished. I’m really proud of this video and even though its the biggest video project I’ve done to date I come away from it knowing more than I did before and looking forward to making some awesome ideas of my own into reality in the form of Youtube videos.
It was really annoying when I finished this short clip then realised there is a small amount of camera m0vement when Prod1gy walks up the stairs. So I had to track the movement and attach the on screen text to the tracking movements.
VERY happy with how this turned out.Notice the shadow on the ground which I think really makes the effect look amazing.
This was the final clip which I added effects to. Not 100% happy with it but time was becoming an issue. I’d like to think that in the future I might be able to call on some friends to assist me in alot of this stuff which would allow a faster editing time frame.
The Xbox Column. Really like the look of this effect, very clean and pro looking but not sure if it was worth the time invested.
There were a few more effects I wished to add but couldn’t afford the time.
It’s really amazing how much you can learn from websites with large helpful communities like youtube and It’s really great to be able to put what you’ve learned to practice.
