So.... I have owned my PSP for almost 2 years now and i have always seen websites on the net showing what you can do with it if you downgrade and install "Custom Firmware" but i also saw how it was quite easy to accidentaly "Brick" your PSP (Brick meaning it becomes as usefull as a brick) so that worried me and i never went through with it. Then in August 2007 i finally saw there was a safe downgrade for PSP's which have sony update 3.50 which is what i was running at the time and said "Go for it" i went and bought a copy of Lumines and downloaded the downgrader then looked on Youtube for a video on downgrading using Lumines so i knew what to expect and it was actually very easy.

Yes 3.80 m33 is out, the nicest thing about this update is that you can now use the Radio plugin which lets you connect using your wireless net connection and listen to a bunch of live radio stations also! another nice update is the system update icon now lets you download and install Dark Alex's latest updates for 3.80 m33 just like the original sony firmware and will even let you download and install 3.90 m33
Plus of course theres a whole bunch of new themes for it, but my advice is before you install the new 3.80 i would either use your original Flash0 files to restore your original sony psp theme or use pandora to reinstall which ever m33 firmware you have otherwise you might have complications. you will also need the original sony 3.80 update you can get it Here sony 3.80

this video shows you what happens when you run pandora on your psp or psp slim when it pre installs 3.71 m33 or 3.80 m33 both versions have the same process
Now i have an "Unlocked" PSP as i would like to put it and im VERY! happy i made the decision.
I can now choose how i want my PSP menu (the correct name for the menu theme is "XMB") to look aswell as run lots of usefull applications such as Infered remote control for devices such as my TV, DVD Player, Stereo, etc etc i also have a calculator, Plus i can now buy a PSP GPS system & use my psp as a satnav system and thats just the tip of the iceberg. Have'nt got a large memory card? then you can play copies of your games using a USB cable from your computer.

Remember. To change your XMB you have to be running "Custom Firmware" you cant change it ifyou run sony official updates.
3.50 Downgrade: to use this downgrader you will need:
A PSP running 3.50
A PC or Laptop
An original copy of Lumines (not an ISO or Lumines II
if you have all of that you can download the needed files HERE these are the exact same files i used so i know their safe but i do not take responsability should something go wrong.
Already have your PSP running 1.50 or custom firmware then get your 3.52 M33 - 4 HERE
