GT Time Trial
You remember that free time trial available a few months ago right? well in North America the person who places number 1 on the leader boards in both USA and Canada recieved a free VIP trip to watch the indy car 500 in 2010, Pretty cool right? what on earth could top that?
Over in Europe the time trial had something a little more impressive to offer, The top 20 on the leader board get to test their skills against each other for a chance to actually swap their couch for a REAL racing car and race for Playstation/Nissan in the 2010 GT Championship.
After a grueling morning of being shouted round an assult course by none other than the Brittish Army, the group then spent the afternoon putting in some laptimes on the track in Formula cars under the judges watchfull eyes, Rob Barff, Johnny Herbert, Eddie Jordan & Sabine Schmitz.
The judges spent 2 hours debating who will make it through and wittled the group of 20 down to 4 finalists, Those finalists are
- Luca Lorenzini (Italy)
- Daniel Collins (Ireland)
- Jordan Tresson (France)
- Marco Calvo (Spain)
These talented 4 will now battle it out to become the Gran Turismo Academy winner 2010 and drive for Nissan/Playstation. Remember if you too want a chance to take this position all yneedis a PS3 and an internet connection and maybe you could be up there in 2011, This is just another reason Gran Turismo 5 already raising th bar and its not even released yet. What else do Polyphony have up their sleves?
