The course maker is now officially confirmed. Some of us knew about the “Course Maker” originally thought to be named the Track Editor (thanks to GTPlanet.net in 2009 Here) but is named the “Course Maker” simply because you can make course’s and not edit pre-existing ones.
The Course maker allows you to select 1 of 4 themes in which to create your own track.
Now before you get too excited you will not be able to design the entire track or course, but help shape it with the different settings and adjustment sliders. You can set 4 sections and then alter each section at a time maybe giving the track a sharp twisty section that leads into a faster section with long straights or fast corners etc etc. With a Course Maker that works in this way will make it easy for players to share their tracks with other racers in the GT5 community and I’am sure even though it’s more of an automated way of doing things I’am sure we will find some amazing results.

While it’s not quite LBP meets GT5 it does at least open up a whole new world of possibilities the the series.
