For those of you who know me will know I’am in painful agony waiting for the release of the GOTD (Game Of The Decade) GT5 and so anyone who releases a racing game prior to November 5th is probably going to include me as a customer and as great as F1 2010 looks and sounds I just don’t think ill be Pre-Ordering this one. Yes I’m dying for a good racing game and the last month waiting for GT5 is going to be absolute hell for me but F1 games of past have never really amounted to much.
An F1 game gets release and I buy it. I play it for a few weeks and I find it just boring and unrealistic. Even with all the new features the CodeMasters have added to this title like the ability to give interviews and talking to your fans after a race I’m still not sure about this title. It does have great potential and the replays do look amazing. It also seems to have great weather systems as well but this is going to be one title I’m going to watch after release and try to buy 2nd hand to save a little money.
It’s going to be a very expensive winter for us gamers.
Don’t get me wrong the game looks great and I’m sure a lot of people will enjoy it but I just find every F1 game I bought in the past all seem the same with the only difference being the year on the game cover. As this is the first F1 build on the PS3 by the Codies they have yet to prove themselves with this style of racing, Yes Dirt 2 (also by CodeMasters) was a great game and i enjoy’d playing it thoroughly but I have reservations when it comes to another F1 title. I hope they pull it off as the gaming industry needs a great F1 title and so far the only F1 game I have enjoy’d to date is the Gran Turismo series which may I add only includes just a small hand full of F1 cars but boy they handle great, and they’re bloody quick (yup, there’s me going on about the GT series for a change 
)
With all that said it does look pretty dam impressive with the army of new features CM have added to the game and with all the detail they have put into the weather and tracks its going to be pretty hard for me to not pre-order.
Good luck CodeMasters I hope you surprise me with a great game.
At the end of the day if the game is good then you won’t be able to find it cheap 2nd hand anywhere and end up buying it brand new at full price.
