First off the ps3 will never be modded or truly "hacked" once you get past security sony knows and just bans you. They no longer ban by IP address for hacking now they ban by MAC address. That means you will need to buy a new ps3 just to be able to play online, but wait thats not all once they have banned you they also take record of your IP so better not be playing that new ps3 on the same IP.

You will never see the ps3 suffer the same fate as the psp did..

As for the trophies.. There are already people out there modding save data to get every trophy.. This can be done on almost any game on the ps3 if the save data is able to be copied. A example of this would be MW2 10th prestige mod.. Same type of modding can be done on single player.

Another example borderlands same thing only people modded "iff ammo" "no clip" things like that.

However the above examples are not hacks they are mods to savedata nothing more. Has nothing to do with the ps3 itself just devs being lazy when making games.

There is only one way the system can be hacked without detection and thats with packets. Even then your not really hacking the system but the network.. Few problems with this form of hacking though.. In short its just not practical..
