Go to any website selling games and you’re amazed at all the AAA content coming our way during this winter season, it’s a very exciting time with big games like GT5, LBP2, Assassins Creed BrotherHood, PS3 Move etc etc the list goes on But what about now? I can understand the big push for the winter as everybody will be buying Christmas gifts for everybody and so this makes the winter the perfect time to make a big push to sell games. But what about the summer months? if you look around there isn’t really anything worth buying. Ok so there was Blur last month which was fun for a a month and Mafia II coming out soon but other than that there’s not really much happening on the gaming scene.
Imagine if just one of these big AAA titles was to be released during the summer, It would be a huge hit as everybody wants something new to play. Instead of spacing all these titles throughout the whole year giving us the chance to purchase them all we will have to prioritise them. As I’am a hardcore gamer I’am forced to prepare my credit card for the months ahead, check out my callender…

September:
- 2x PS3 Move controller’s = £69.98 (i already own the eyetoy camera)
- Sports champions = £24.99
- The Fight – Lights out = £29.99
- F1 2010 = £39.99
October:
There are a few games coming out in October but I think Ill be waiting to buy them 2nd hand in 2011(try and save some! money on my games eh).
November:
- Gran Turismo 5 Signature Edition = £149.99 (OUCH!)
- Little Big Planet 2 = £39.99
- Test Drive Unlimited 2 = £39.99
Sept = £164.99
Nov = £229.97
There are more titles I’d love to buy like Medal of Honor, Need for Speed – Hot pursuit and Dead Rising 2 and many more but during times of economic downtime I don’t want to put myself out on the street. Especially as cardboard boxes don’t come with electric and internet connections (can you imagine if they did lol
and how the hell am I supposed to buy all these games and be saving up for a 3D TV?
Too many games and not enough time! Bring a couple of these AAA titles out in July August time to spread the cost and they will still sell. Also when I look at my friends list I see the same people online who are online throughout the winter so its not like the gaming community stop using there consoles during the summer.
Get the word out!
