What is my Favourite game?

That’s a tough question……

It used to be GTA IV.  The first time i put it on and saw the level of detail in every brick, billboard and boardwalk. Liberty city was full of life and little details like washed up litter on the beach to Ricky Gervais starring at the comedy club i was in awe. As i played through the game loving every moment of it, it was all i did but then i went online and that’s where i met some of my best friends who i still talk to every day (and this is 3 years later) Everyday i would come home from work and before anything else i would turn on my PS3 start GTA IV and join a party with my online friends. Me and one of my buddies (Corleone26) would play Hang mans noose over and over and over again while talking about our day at work with our sight’s permanently fixed on that golden 10 star online rank. I think it took us about a month and a half, every day after work, all weekend long we’d be on it. Trying  to beat our best time and maybe get on the top ten leaderboard. We both got our gold 10 star ranks but never made it on to the leader board thanks to someone somehow getting some impossible time (probably a glitch).

Then SOCOM Confrontation came out…..

I wasn’t really into shooters before this game came out but my PS3 friends from GTA IV kept telling me about it and how “it’s all about the clan man” which didn’t mean much to me at the time but fast foward a year and we’ve started in the same clan then split into two clans at war with each other and then on to 3 clans. Best friends have worked together tightly then ended up being deleted off each others friends lists only to meet up in the game for an aggressive battle. SOCOM played a huge part in my life and became my main focus for pretty much a whole year straight. Ill always have fond memories of SOCOM Confrontation even with all the exploits and bugs (which have for the most part been fixed) and of course the lag which would often play a big part in the game. The game was more than just a game to us. It brought us close and at times made us enemies and you know what, we’re all looking foward to doing it all again on SOCOM 4 lol ;P (we’re also all back on each others friends lists ;)

The Future…..

So most of my close friends all met on GTA IV and they brought me into their game (SOCOM) but it will soon be my time to shine when Gran Turismo 5 comes out. I believe it will be the game of the decade and i just cannot wait for it’s release to get all of these great friends from the last 3 years ive had on the PS3 all on one game. GT5 WILL be my favourite game i just know it, ever since i played GT on the PSOne back in the day ive been hooked. GT2 came out and i stayed up for 48 hours straight drinking pints of tea to keep me going. The same goes for GT3 and 4. When GT5 finally gets release i plan to book 2 weeks off work and instead of doing what most people do (go on holoday) ill be spending my playcation glued to the screen trying to platinum it and own every car in the game while staying ahead of all my friends and of course just enjoying the company in the lounge area. I hope it will become our new chat room. As fun as the chat room is with 5 other friends with eyetoy’s i happen to think it will be more fun chatting about our days after a race while watching another.

What is my favourite game? Im sure it will be GTS but with so many great experiences to choose from its tough. I could keep on writing about many other games but im starting to get the shakes and need another dose of Blur.
