The latest outing by Lara Croft is available in the next PS Store update (Sep 28th USA - Sep 29th UK) but you can get your mits on it early thanks to the wonderfull fella's at GameSpot.com. Lara Croft and the Guardian of light is the first in the series to both be only available through digital download and to include 2 player coop play. It's called the beta but its actually a trial which also give's you the option to buy the full game days ahead of the public release. GTPlanet.net has reported multiple accounts of a GT5 demo popping up all over the USA in BestBuy stores and now it's showing up in Target stores (Bestbuy = Curry's Target = Tesco) and while it's great to see this happen I can't help but think when do we get it. When will it show up in UK stores and what about the rest of Europe and even the world? So I took it upon myself to do what I can to get this demo up on the PSN Store. I'm pretty sure whatever I do won't make a single bit of difference but I can at least try right? The BetaRooms event in Birmingham last weekend was the event which finally gave me the chance to get my hands on the beta version of the game that is the reason I bought a PlayStation3 about 3 years ago. The anticipation of actually being one of the people I usually see at events like E3 and TGS playing GT5 kept me awake most of the night before the event. I think I managed to get about 4 hours sleep, I just couldn't stop thinking about it. The whole journey there I was looking around at the other people going about their day thinking, is that person a gamer? does he/she know about BetaRooms? if so I wonder what he/she would do to be as lucky as me right now? As i got off one train to wait for the next one I managed to fit in 20 mins of GT PSP, well i gotta get my car collection up right? Then it was on to the next train and in just 45 more minutes I would be sitting in front of a 3D TV playing Gran Turismo 5. Lost Planet 2 I bought this game on day one and i'm happy i did as its bloody brilliant. I'm sure you played the Lost Planet 2 Multiplayer demo and if you didn't you should as if 1 million people download it, Capcom will donate $20'000 to charity. BUT! the LP2 MP demo doesn't do the game justice. It's kind of  annoying in the LP2 MP demo as you get to play one game and then you have to re-join the lobby, wait for it to fill up and then you can play and  the demo will not let you rank up. While this game has GREAT! customize options its not the bread and butter of the game. Get Co Op If you goto the PSN Store and use the search option, Look for lost planet 2 and download the LP2 CoOp demo. Grab 3 friends and beat that sucka. THIS! is the demo that will give you a good taste of the game. It's all about communication in this game so you might want to turn your mics on and well, you all should have your mic's on if your gonna play any game with the mic ability. Do your part. Currently on the Playstation Store there is a free demo download by the name of Lost Planet 2 and there's something special about this demo. Capcom (creators of the Lost Planet series) have announced that they've started a charity campaign called, “Kill Big for Charity”. which is a partnership with Music for Relief, a non-profit organization dedicated to disaster relief and disaster risk mitigation, to contribute $20,000 to charity if one million demos are downloaded across both PSN and XBL before May 5, 2010. An additional $5,000 will be added to the pot if an extra 500,000 demo downloads can be achieved. So come on guys, even if you dont even play it. Make sure you go on over to the PS Store or the "Ahem" XBL Store and grab that free Lost Planet 2 demo. The demo itself is pretty tight, but there is one thing thats annoying. its just a one game multiplayer demo so if you want to play again you have to load up into a new lobby and start again.
