Turn up the Noisia

You have to hear this it’s brillient!

I’ve recently been playing Blur a lot and the game is fun but as soon as i started playing Noisia while on single player, both the music and the game seemed destined for marriage. The album “Split the atom by Noisia” is what i would call gaming music. With its drum n bass influences and straight up NASTY! DIRTY! beats, it’s redbull for your ears. Give it a listen while you’re playing anything from a FPS to a hack n slash to a racing game and im sure you’ll agree.  The whole album sounds great with every track sounding different from the last but still packing the same punch.

Noisia are made up from the dutch drum n bass trio Nik RoosMartijn van Sonderen and Thijs de Vlieger. You may know them as they appeared on Playstation Europes Vidzone earlier this year which i blogged about on RobGroove.com.

I hope to see the name Noisia on the tracklisting of future games n i think we will be hearing more from the talented trio for years to come.

Noisia Split the atom is available now from Amazon.com or Amazon.co.uk

Gamble on your gaming skills

News just in, Richard Branson entrepreneur and owner of the Virgin brand now has his site set on the gaming world with a gambling website. VirginGaming.com is the site in which gambling/gamers (both PS3 & XBOX) will connect through and place bets for a potential win. The site say’s it will judge your skill with every 5 games you play pitting players against other players in the same league keeping the competition fair. They also say they have an excellent system which can spot the cheaters and hackers.

Could this be bad for the gaming industry?

Will it change the way we think of our games?

Gambling = Addictive

Gaming = Addictive

could mixing these 2 things together in one place become disastrous for many gamers?

Time will tell but if you’re tempted to give it a try like me, just remember never bet what you can’t afford to throw away. The gambling site apparently allows its registered users to gamble anything from $1 to $1000 so it could become pretty bad for your health.

Currently

The only games available on the site are:

  • MLB 10 (the show)  PS3
  • FIFA 10 PS3 & Xbox
  • NCAA Football 10 PS3 & Xbox
  • Madden NFL 10 PS3 & Xbox
  • Halo Xbox

With Madden NFL 11, Fight Night Round 4, Mod Nation Racers, NHL 10 and NHL 11 coming soon.

There’s also a tournament section to the site which costs $1 to enter and giving $12.50 – $38.00 to the winner which i guess sounds harmless enough, nothing wrong with a flutter. I just hope they keep the entrance fee low for all and keep it harmless and fun.

Oh and please note! there is a withdraw fee. If you want to withdraw using Paypal it will cost you $3, Cheque in regular mail = $6, Cheque in express mail = $15 and Cheque via courier = $45

Lets see where this goes.

Remember! Don’t gamble what you can’t afford to throw away.

Add your PS3 gametag to Facebook

Just found this while i was surfing around and had to share it with you all.

Its a very simple process and only requires your PSN ID name, no passwords needed here. It looks great and can be added to your Facebook profile page from Here.

REMEBER: NEVER sign into any other website but the official playstation websites with your PS3 account details as there are some websites out there who will use your details to gain access to your credit card linked accounts. It’s happened to me once and it completely freaked me out. I then went to the Official Playstation website and used the “forgot my password” option to reset it. I’am lucky they didn’t change me email address also.

New GT5 Trailer

Excitement builds…

Gametrailers had a few world exclusives to share with the world last night. 1 of which was a new GT5 trailer. While this trailer was made up of many parts previously seen in other trailers there was the odd glimpse of a slightly different view of previously seen footage. One of the clips caught my interest was what seems to be one of the rally stages or tracks (pictured below)

While its always great to see new GT5 stuff it isn’t really much so im guessing this is just to wet your appetite ready for something big at E3. Just a few more days to go.

If you want to see the new GT5 Trailer from gametrailers
please click here

OR!

you can download the video straight to your PS3.

To Download on your PS3move your pointer over the This Text then press triangle.
Choose File and then save target. It will then ask you where you want to download it to.
You can either download it straight to your hard drive or even onto a usb stick.
