After recently finding the G27 steering wheel (usually costs £300) for the bargain price of £230, I decided to write a quick blog to share some of my knowledge with RobGroove.com readers. As I'm a PS3 gamer the information below is directed towards other PS3 gamers in the UK but may also work just as well with Gaybox.... er... ahem... I mean Xbox user's as well as gamers in other countries. When it comes to buying there are 4 catagories, 3 of which I will list info for. The 4th one is Consoles and the best thing to do is just shop around reputable dealers and find a reasonable price. I wouldn't buy 2nd hand if I were you. If you're buying a console you really should get a brand new one as 2nd hand models could be fixed with a quick fix and break down on you within a matter of months. Pre-Orders and Brand New Games Buying games brand new or pre-ordering them from anywhere will mean you'll pay full price for the [...]

Click here to read more. So. We all know we can activate our PSN accounts on 5 playstation console's and this ability is in place so if we ever have a problem with our PS3 we can still sign in on a new PS3 and all our account info, trophies and purchase's will be accessible. Some people choose to use and abuse this and use it to share purchased games with their friends and while this goes against the PlayStation user agreement Sony can still help you should you loose control over some of the 5 accounts. A friend of mine recently lost one of his 5 accounts and couldn't contact the user of that lost account. So he called up Sony and explained how he has a new PS3 but cant sign into his account as all his 5 accounts have somehow been used up (this is where you lie to sony if you use it to gameshare btw) the operator on the phone then explained "Game sharing" is against the User agreement terms but as a gesture of good will Sony are [...]

Sports Champions This is the first game I Pre-Ordered when I Pre-Ordered my Move controllers mainly because the Gladiator game looks sick but they all do if I'am to be honest. The video below give you a glimpse at 2 of the 6 games available in Sports Champions, check it out. Start the Party Start the Party looks like a very simple and fun game packed with a large number of different games which looks like it should be a freebie with your Move controllers but I'am afraid it isn't. Anyways it does look like fun with friends and worth checking out if only to watch as a tech demo. Ruse The demo for this game is already available for free on the PlayStation store and even though strategy games are not my forte I'am still looking forward to trying it out. -

It used to be GTA IV. The first time i put it on and saw the level of detail in every brick, billboard and boardwalk. Liberty city was full of life and little details like washed up litter on the beach to Ricky Gervais starring at the comedy club i was in awe. As i played through the game loving every moment of it, it was all i did but then i went online and that's where i met some of my best friends who i still talk to every day (and this is 3 years later) Everyday i would come home from work and before anything else i would turn on my PS3 start GTA IV and join a party with my online friends. Me and one of my buddies (Corleone26) would play Hang mans noose over and over and over again while talking about our day at work with our sight's permanently fixed on that golden 10 star online rank. I think it took us about a month and a half, every day after work, all weekend long we'd be on it. Trying to beat our best time and maybe get on the top [...]

I've recently been playing Blur a lot and the game is fun but as soon as i started playing Noisia while on single player, both the music and the game seemed destined for marriage. The album "Split the atom by Noisia" is what i would call gaming music. With its drum n bass influences and straight up NASTY! DIRTY! beats, it's redbull for your ears. Give it a listen while you're playing anything from a FPS to a hack n slash to a racing game and im sure you'll agree. The whole album sounds great with every track sounding different from the last but still packing the same punch. Noisia are made up from the dutch drum n bass trio Nik Roos, Martijn van Sonderen and Thijs de Vlieger. You may know them as they appeared on Playstation Europes Vidzone earlier this year which i blogged about on RobGroove.com. I hope to see the name Noisia on the tracklisting of future games n i think we will be hearing more from the talented trio for years to come. Noisia Split the atom is available now from Amazon.com or Amazon.co.uk check it out RedBull for your [...]

VirginGaming.com is the site in which gambling/gamers (both PS3 & XBOX) will connect through and place bets for a potential win. The site say's it will judge your skill with every 5 games you play pitting players against other players in the same league keeping the competition fair. They also say they have an excellent system which can spot the cheaters and hackers. Could this be bad for the gaming industry? Will it change the way we think of our games? Gambling = Addictive Gaming = Addictive could mixing these 2 things together in one place become disastrous for many gamers? Time will tell but if you're tempted to give it a try like me, just remember never bet what you can't afford to throw away. The gambling site apparently allows its registered users to gamble anything from $1 to $1000 so it could become pretty bad for your health. Currently The only games available on the site are: MLB 10 (the show) PS3 FIFA 10 PS3 & Xbox NCAA Football 10 PS3 & Xbox [...]
