What seems like an eternity waiting for Slant 6 to pull their fingers out of their arse’s and stop playing pool all day at the office so they can actually do a little work when they’re not on their vacation breaks, (monday to friday it seems) we can finally get the 1.6 update patch.
the 1.6 SOCOM Confrontation update has been announced for release today on Thursday the 10th on December. The update it seems will fix ALL the glithes and bugs in the game from elevation glitches, Getting kicked back to the XMB bug, to making the shotguns more powerful at close range and less powerfull at a far, it really does sound like they Finally finished the game. I say finish as they released the game before it was finished for whatever reason and so because of this, all SOCOM players have had to deal with a glitchy buggy game which in turn has given the game poor reviews.

It’s a real shame as any other SOCOM gamer knows although even with all the annoying hang-ups, This game has made and broken alot of friendships.
SOCOM has played a massive part in my life aswell as pretty much 80% of my friends list. For that SOCOM i thank you. Its been a bumpy ride even though this game has made me feel like its bitch, i mean there’s been times i’d rather slide down a never ending razor blade using my balls as breaks, But…. i have to remember that this game was the first shooter that got my into the genre, Kinda like my first love.
I remember i bought COD MW when it came out and i sucked! i think i made it to rank 35 or something whereas now im playing COD MW2 im already on my 2nd Prestige with my sights firmly set on that all important final prestige,  
Thats all thanks to SOCOM Confrontation.
I still own the game and will never sell it as long as i have my PS3 and i will of course buy the DLC even though they should give it to us for free, For messing us around so much. So with all that said, I look forward to getting back on SOCOM with my friends and remember this game hopefully with pleasure and not like a bad marriage i now feel divorced from, Got my fingers crossed and ill keep you posted.
